Lukso Jiang, also known as Chanissara Saejiang, is a self-taught artist known for her live sound-to-visual synesthetic abstract and surrealist painting sessions, as well as her advocacy for autism awareness.
I involuntarily see and feel the texture, shape, and movement whenever I hear sounds. I once thought everyone saw things the way I do, but it turned out they did not. I have a strong bond with veins, bones, and roots. They are the repetitive structures in my mind and remind me of nature, where everything is connected by patterns—like sounds wavering along the vibration around me.
Background
Lukso (b.1999) is based in Bangkok, Thailand. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Thammasat University. She began her artistic practice while still studying history, researching the intersections of art, politics, and psychology. After graduation, she pursued art full-time, gradually expanding from abstraction into more figurative forms.
